OK, so I under took the 2+ hour install for the powder coated grille. You basically have to take the whole bumper cover off to get to the clips that hold the grille.
Being OCD, I didn't want to cut up my OEM grille and bought a cheapie off of Ebay to cut up.
As I was working on the ebay grille, some of the cheap plastic tabs holding the center piece onto the outer chrome piece broke, as I had already begun altering it, I couldn't return it. Then, of course, I cut too much from the center piece. But I wanted to be able to complete it eventually, so I rigged it just to see what it looks like. It'll hold together If I wanted to keep it.
Now that I know kinda what I'm doing, I have a better grille coming to cut up, but I got the set up together enough

F@&king Street Scene! They couldn't just make one that is a direct fit.

I'm still debating if I'm going to put the Ford emblem on it or not. I'm kinda partial to it not being there.

This is why I love this place. I have a crappy imagination so it's hard for me to picture something on my truck until I see it. I have a 2004 black XLT and was considering a powder coat grille and now I know what it looks like lol! The lower part of the grille looks kinda strange when you zoom in. What's up with that?

I'm not sure what you're refering to, but the bottom of the center grille is where the little plastic tabs broke and you can see a small white spot in the lower right hand corner. The only real downside is that you can see everything behind the grille. I might fab a louvered metal sheet to go over it.

Maybe hes talking about the bumpers "grill" being stock pattern instead of the street scene

I'm waiting on the lower grille now. You won't be able to see it when the bull bar and lights go back on, but I'm going to do it any way.

I got the new grille in and re-installed the Street Scene grille. The new one I got was from Rock Auto and was one piece instead of the OEM style 2 piece. Now I'm just waiting on the lower to finish her up and then re-install the bull bar.

That looks really good. And it will look even better when you get the lower one done.
