Surging....?????

I have a 2000 Expedition with a 4.6 and a bit over 30,000 miles on it. We have been having a problem with it surging from time to time and sometimes cutting off. I have had it to Ford three times and of course it won't do it for them at the time when they have it. It has cut of on my wife in the middle of the road and I am terrified at what could happen to her and my kids! I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced anything similar.

what do you mean by surging? also, have you tried searching the tsb's there is a link on the home page here.

Well, at times you feel a loss of power just for a split second. And as I mentioned before, it has just shut off for no reason......It is really tickin' me off. My wife was pulling out of her school one day and it just shut off! Luckily the car heading towards her was paying attention. No, I will search now.

EDIT: Thanks!! I did a search, and we are experiencing the cut offs when turning.
