Several friends of mine use amsoil in their race vehicles. They swear by it. They are very hard on their vehicles but baby them with solid maintenance. I have never seen their cars/trucks suffer an oil related breakdown yet.

Amsoil is a great product! Are you wanting to use their full synthetic which is a class IV or a synthetic blend (class III)? Most of their products have a very high TBN (Total Base Number) which means the oil will last much longer than dino oil. Just make sure you use a really good oil filter; amsoil also makes one of the best oil filters. It has the lowest micron rating that I can find. Their oil filters are 15 microns which is really, really good! I would definitely get amsoil if I were you. Hope this helps.
