What fluid goes in the Front diff and t-case? I did a complete tranny flush/filter and new rear diff fluid but didn't do the Front diff and t-case at that time.
Winter is coming and I want to get it changed out asap.

I just picked up a 99 with 127k on it. I had almost no service info on it other than a coolant flush at 122k miles. I decided to change out all the fluids.

In the front diff I used supertec synthetic (walmart) 75-90
In the rear diff I used supertec synthetic 75w140
I did a full drain of transmission, transfer case and torque converter using supertec ATF.

I wish I had put something a little more robust in the transfer case since it only takes 2 quarts. If I do it again I will prob try royal purple. The fluid that came out was solid black, though most of the other fluids I drained looked fairly clean.

Yea, since this posting I found out that the t case uses ATF. But I am a supervisor at AAA and we use all Ford trucks. I was in our parts dept today and noticed "Motorcraft Transfer case fluid" I asked the tech about it and it is the same red as tranny fluid so it is probably the same thing but costs $3 a quart more-lol

I spent about $160-$180 on fluids to do all that. Labor isn't tough but if you have no easy way to drain and get rid of all that fluid it's probably not a bad deal at $250.
