So, I just broke my 2nd tail light on my 2019 Stealth (jackknifing my trailer while backing up, crunch!), these are the ones that are $1600 at the dealer, and maybe $1200 online. I note there are aftermarket halogen tail lights for the same year range Expedition that are only like $250 for a pair(!)... Will the halogen tail lights plug in place of the LED 'stealth' lights ? I don't care that they aren't blacked out like the Stealth, and I'll probably put LED 'bulbs' in the halogen lamp assembly.

also, does anyone know of any brush guards for the 4th gen Expedition tail lights ?

Looks like used Stealth ones are around $600 on ebay. Still plenty, but better than $1200.

I would check your insurance. I've had past incidents where there was no rate increase because it was below a certain dollar amount. Can't hurt to ask.

ok, i just checked the wiring diagram for my 2019... the Expedition in 2019 (and probably 2018-2021(?) has separate wiring diagrams for LED and halogen tail lights. the LED has an additional wire on each side, and the BCM likely requires different program coding.

I am also looking for options on the driver's side taillight assembly for my stealth. Ford dealer denied my claim under Ford ESP and I appealed. They denied it. I contacted Ford and they responded once and then nothing. Dealer is blocking any escalation at the dealer level. Best options for a replacement? Local junkyards are 0 for 3 so far.

They denied it because they don't cover it in that plan. Junkyards are hit and miss. Check ones that ship online. Also, eBay, Amazon and others have aftermarket that are cheaper than factory. Car-Parts.Com
