i have a 2016 XLT, and I've searched this forum and elsewhere on the 'net and can't find what I need. I bought two head rests with video screens and need to tap into power for them. The obvious place is in the center console, but I haven't found instructions that work for my year. Can someone point me to or provide some help to remove the necessary covers to access the wiring in the console?

Well if you've read posts on this forum in the past, you'll see that forum members that have tapped, or had someone tap into existing hot leads to add new items, run into problems. I know it's a pain, but if you can run the 12 volt hot directly to the +post on battery. The trigger wire that turns your accessory on/off, you can try tapping into something convenient, as they don't draw much current. My 2 cents.

Thanks, Moose. I am thinking that might be the best approach, although I'd still like to know how to disassemble the console, so that I can tuck away any wiring I do run and connections I make.

Can't help you there. Maybe one of the other members have taken apart the console, or get a c/d on your vehicle.
