So far, my 99 has 200,672 miles on it, oil change every 3k, no major issues yet, and horrible gas mileage.:nono:

Its funny you posted this. I was seriously thinking about trading mine in for a new EL, but it just seems that everyone is having problems with the air, tranny etc... on the new ones. Im happy with what I have at 66k.

I only buy fords, but I have noticed some quality issues (gears stripped in the newer model X's, things like that) I just can not understand why they won't use better materials, they have come a long way, and quality should be a top priority, all vehicles seem to have specific issues though.

172,000 and it is rising VERY slowly. I have only put 2500 miles on it since I bought it in January because I have put 10,000 miles on my bike so far this year.

12 mpg vs. 40 mpg, it is a pretty easy choice.

Almost 94K here on my '03 and other than my differential leak that I fixed last weekend, the thing has been a champ. No engine or tranny issues at all.

1st one!

Having to sell the X would suck bro, see if you can keep the X and then just drive it occasionally even after you get a newere car.

120,000 on my 06'. Nothing but an alternator couple years ago, that's even after my X wife had it for two years and I'm pretty sure the ***** never changed the oil the whole time she had it, so well see how long it lasts.... Lol
I am running amsoil from front to rear, did the change after I got it back from her and after the first couple changes of that the oil consumption went way down.

2005 XLT at 73k+ right now. Bought it at 60k for only $13k. Sold it to me cheap because it had a cat problem. Took it to Ford and had them replace the cat for free! $1k of free parts and labor. Cant beat that!
