Might do a 2" (not 3") body lift on top of my 2" coil spacers/torsion keys. Whatcha guys think?

Plus, if I do that then my options for shocks will greatly increase because then I can get 4" lift shocks instead.

Also, didn't get any input from my last post asking about shocks/springs...

What is the best brand of coil springs to get and where should I get them from? My truck is starting to sag pretty bad in the rear.

Also if I do a 2" body lift I'm guessing I'll need to relocate my exhaust tips?

I wanted to do a 2" bl because I though 3 inches was too big butttttt everyone on here brought up a good point... The 2" kit doesnt come with bumper brackets so you would have to make your own. And plus for the amount of effort im glad I went bigger. Look at my pictures for an idea of height and looks.

It states at the 2" PA lift that I'm looking at that it does come with all necessary bumper brackets.

I'm just worried that I won't like the look of those two square holes that will be exposed in the front as well as the bumper sitting another 2" higher from where the trailer hitch it... Plus I'd have to pay extra money to get my exhaust tips raised. The extra clearance would be nice, I just need someone to convince me.

I just sprayed mine with glossy black tremclad. Looks good to me. And the trailer hitch and exhaust don't look out of place at all. Here's a front and back view of the 3 inch body lift and 2 inch spacer and TT

A guy who used to come around my neighborhood had an f150 fx4 with a 2 inch body lift, it was perfect if I was going to do it thats what I would go with, plus the smaller lift means less frame showing.

honestly i would not do a body lift, you have an eddie bauer edition and if you have adjustable pedals you may cause a problem with them from what i have heard. also I dont know if you are planning on getting a grille gaurd or not but ever seen how stupid it looks when the top bar runs across the center of the headlights? one guy around my house did that on his bronco, the truck looks so weird and his exhaust hangs so much lower from the body, not to mention if you dont get gap guards it looks real funny. I know alot of guys on here run body lifts but honestly I would just save the money and buy a real suspension lift kit.

You bring up some very valid points. I do have the adjustable pedals and don't see why that would be an issue, but could definitely see the possibility. Also, a brush guard was something I was considering, but as always, there are always ways to make things work... But like I said if I do anything it'll probably be a 2"... I would get a REAL suspension lift, but honestly, putting a few grand into a truck that's not worth more than $7500 seems quite useless. Plus, I might end up selling it anyways due to the terrible gas mileage it gets.

Also if you are interested in doing a full suspension lift you should look at the 6" from Zone Offroad. I have there kit on my 97 f150 and I love it. I think the Expy version runs about 1600.

Again, 1600 dollars in a lift kit, and another 1200 in tires just isn't practical for me to spend on a 12 year old vehicle. Although I love my big 'ole expy, driving it as it is now isn't practical for a daily driver because I'm using 75 dollars in fuel per week. I either want a newer truck with all the cool little features such as cooled seats, sync, remote start, etc... or I want a little Mustang that I can soup up.

True it is a lot of money. Can't really count the tires though cause if you are planing on a 3" body you will still have to buy tires so the cost there is the same.
I put almost 3k into my 97 this year and I paid 3k for it last year so I have basically 6k in a 15 year old truck. It does get crap fuel mileage but it's paid for. I figure I can pay a little more on gas and maintenance since I don't have to cary full coverage and I don't have a payment every month.
Just my $0.02

reason i brought up the pedals was i know one guy did a body lift and then he said his brake lights were staying on, but i also saw some kits dont work with adjustable pedals, not sure why but thats what i found out
