Third Brake Light 07 Espy

Hi.
This rig is continuous work in progress. Lol!

Third Brake light will not work.
New bulbs.
Sockets are clean.
Got another complete light- same prob.

My brake/tail lights work. Flashers work. But NOT Third Brake Light.

Is there a dedicated fuse just for third brake?

My fuse panel cover us gone so can't tell if there's a fuse.

Does your rear wiper and rear defrost work? Could be unplugged or damaged wiring from all the years of opening and closing the hatch. I doubt there is a separate fuse for 3rd lamp but check owner's manual to be sure, that's the only place fuses are listed.

If all else works it's not a fuse.

ground or cut/pinched wire. Check the grommet that the wires pass from the body to the hatch, it may be torn or have wires that have chafed and could be a problem.

So- the deal was 2-fold.
The connection for the plug was corroded.
Changed that.
Wire was broken.
Fixed that.

Third brake light works now.
