I've got a 99 EB 5.4. How do you guys access the #4 cylinder? I'm trying to change the coils and plugs and I'm going crazy trying to get at it. The hoses have funky clamps that I can't figure out how to remove. What am I missing here? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

extensions and universal joints... a couple of each... it is a pain to reach but having a body lift in makes access much easier..;);) on a side note...lol but best i can say is a combination of extensions and a universal can reach into it

Thanks for the suggestion. I managed to push the heater hoses back and to the left and tie them there to get access. I also removed the fuel rail, but in hindsight it probably wasn't necessary. I used a single universal and some extensions but a second universal would have been very helpful. I manged to replace the plug and Coil and she's running great!

I have replaced the plug on #4 and found that just loosening the fuel rail was enough to get my xl hands in there with the proper tools as mentioned above by walnuts4x4

I am a skinny runt with skinny fingers, sadly I had to park my lifted x close to the back porch and use a blanket and just laid across the front end and motor to get mine out, #3 was a pain on the drivers side, has tha vacuum pod right where the coil bolt is at.
