TRACTION CONTROL - Does it work?

Hi guys, I need some opinion on something.
2017 Expedition EL TRACTION CONTROL question.
Just got my new baby, extremely happy with my purchase so far! However, my question is this - I don't see the TC working as any other car I have owned. I don't see that Orange light flashing or any other indication that the TC is engaging, no loss of power or else.The wheels are spinning on snow - regardless if on 2H or 4A etc. Everything seems to be in order - no check engine lights or other light on the dash, when I engage the TC I get a message that TC Is On. But still, as I soon I step on snow and push on the gas, the wheels just keep spinning. Anyone has any ideas?

If I am on 2H yes only the rear. If I am on 4A all 4 spin/slip.
However they spin constantly, I can do donuts all day long if I want to ‍.
No loss of power when o push the gas, no light flashing as any other car I had...

Hi, I don't feel any throttle modulation or any break, no light is flashing on the dash. Wheels are spinning/slipping like any 70s car on snow.
What do you mean "it sounds like it works"?

There are 2 completely different systems controlled by the same button. Based on your picture, both are off it looks like.

Both are off in 4L, but in 4A/4H they are controlled by how long you press the button.

With Both on or Traction off but stability still on the Truck should fight you if you try to do donuts. It should try to bring the vehicle in line.

Mine definitely engages and acts like every other traction control system. Something sounds off on yours like it's completely turned off. Normally when a driver turns it completely off (like you are describing) an ignition cycle will reset it back to the 'ON' position.

I think his works fine but he just doesn't realize it.

If you have the limited slip axle your traction control is sort of neutered in 2WD. They don’t play nice together so TC programming is dialed down on limited slip models. You should still be getting rev limiter though.

Agreed, but with Stability control engaged, it would not let me do Donuts in my 17. It would brake the wheels to bring it back in line. Take stability control off and yep, all day long especially when LS stepped in!

Guy, TC works, light flashes when TC engages. All good.
However it does take forever before it actually kicks in, so I guess that's why I got confused.
