We removed the spare tire and mounted the horns where the spare tire would go and the tank directly behind the license plate.
You could hear the compressor more than I wanted inside the Expedition so I removed the rear lining and put dynamat everywhere. That made a huge difference!
That sounds like UP, BNSF or old Conrail horns. Every railroad has there own tone. Locomotive air compressors function in the 125-140psi range. A min of 90psi, for the brakes to work. The horns are designed for that air pressure.
