Tranny fluid change

Happy New Year everyone. I've read several transmission threads on here but didn't seem to find an answer to a question I have. I have an 01 Expy 5.4 4x4 and want to change trans fluid and screen. My question is if I drop the pan to change the screen how much fluid am I looking at replacing? Thanks in advance for any answers.

I had my 2001 5.4 done and I think it was 14 quarts, that's just the fluild to replace, more if you are going to use some to flush.

MERCON®V is not interchangeable at this time with the current MERCON® service fluids.
Check the transmission dipstick to determine the correct fluid and refer to the Workshop Information/Owner publication to determine the correct service interval for the specific vehicle.
