Trans vent location?

While changing my oil I noticed my transmission vent tube/hose hanging. I can’t seem to find the hole where the plastic button snaps into. Does it go forward or towards the rear and where does it snap into? Pictures would be greatly appreciated. 2017 4x4 EL

I think this may be where it
goes......driver side floor board had an empty hole. The vent hose actually comes out of the front top of transfer case.
