My 202 has, or had, the typical banging on the downshift in certain gears. I have been trying to find a time to get it to Ford, but before that my tires needed to be replaced. I went up a little in height with the new tires. Now I don't think the transmission has the slam/bang in the downshift anymore, or it is significantly less. I am going to be paying attention a lot more in the next 2 weeks... but does this make sense? I know it changes the speed and such a little. The MPH is off by 1-2... so there is a minor difference.
Am I crazy? SHoudl I still take it to Ford... If I cannot reproduce the issue, they wont fix it. Plus heck they might blame the issue on non-factory tires anyway. But there are smarter people here than the Ford Service Mangaers... which should not be the case.. but seems so.
