I had a leak in my tans pan at the drain plug....so I went to the dealer got a new plug with the nylon ring around...put the new one in and it still is leaking...and the new is tight and the rest of the pan is dry? Thoughts?

Was the old plug loose when it was leaking? If it was it could have vibrated enough to damage the treads..... Or you could just have a hairline crack in or around the threads... either way sounds like you are gonna need a new pan just my .02
