Transmission type???? HELP !!!

Is there a place in the vin # to find what transmission your expedition has. Getting ready to get what I need for the fluid and filter Change. Fyi I don't have her build sheet

Go to etis and enter your vin number It will give you a copy of everything that was on the expy when built

Also if you look on the sticker by the drivers door you will see the trans code and you can look that up in the owners manual

I have just purchased a 2002 XLT with 60k Miles in pristine condition. The only thing on it that didn't work were the electric mirrors. I fixed that yesterday by cleaning the corrosion off the switch mechanism. I was trying to find which options I had so I used the etis lookup. at first it said it couldn't find the VIN but then it displayed "recent VINs". when I clicked on that it brought up this "C-MAX 2007-2010, Romeo V8 4.6 SOHC EFI, Oxford White". By going through the list I see I have what is on the list. Just puzzled by the 2007-2010. Anyway, thanks again. Forums are a great resource.

Had that too when I looked up my older Ex. Color and vin was right plus accessories but not make or year

Same thing happened to me the other day as well. I was trying to figure out my own vehicle. I used the site about 6 months back, and it worked as it should, but something is definitely wrong with the site.
