So we are not having good luck lately with our transmission. Had the main control valve replaced a few months ago due to hard downshifting out of 5th gear. They also flashed the new software.
This weekend we were nearly stranded on I70 in the mountains with the 3 kids because a seal went out and we leaked enough fluid it would barely stay in gear. Limped to the nearest Ford dealer. They said this is unrelated to the other work we've had done.
The best part is, the seal is backordered until February!!! Luckily we were skiing with friends and we packed in their vehicle and made it back home to wait it out until they can find this seal.
We are just over 29k miles.
