What is the problem with the transmission on these beautiful jeeps. I have a 04 that I’ve change the trans and now have to do it again. Now my 07 seems to be following the trend

Isn’t the expedition a jeep or suv
At least here in the states it is called an SUV, but is not called a Jeep. The Jeep name is specific to the brand name under Chrysler. In the Bahama's, can any SUV be referred to as a jeep? I call my expedition a truck as it's basically an F150 underneath, but most people I interact with would correct me and say it's an SUV.
What was the service/maintenance history of the transmissions? I've read recommendations of fluid change every 30k. The expedition I bought had the transmission replaced at 180k, but the prior service history is unknown to me.

Jeep origins started as general purpose, or government purposes, slang morphed into jeep. But on this side of the pond, as the Brit's would say we call our 3 ton babies SUV's. The pre 2007 had a four speed automatic that is best to swap out fluid/ filter at 30 k intervals. 2007 and later have 6 speed trans with long life fluid that has much longer interval's, some say as much as 150k, which personally is suicide! We've all kinda conceded even those should be 75k to keep it fresh, and clean. Sounds like your past owners, or you have been a bad boy on maintenance, and have paid dearly!
