Hi All,

I am fairly new to the Expedition world, purchasing my 2017 Platinum in March of this year. It had 124,556 miles and was a one-owner, no-accident unit.

Shortly after purchase (approximately 500 miles), I experienced a cylinder 4 misfire. I did some research and decided to replace all of the plugs and coils. I ordered them, but then the misfire went away. So I waited. Roughly 5k miles later (131,091 miles), it returned, so I replaced everything. After this exchange, the misfire was gone, but it still had a bit of a rough idle, sluggish acceleration, and would hesitate from a stop (more so in reverse).

Fast-forward ~1,500 miles, and I have a new misfire, this time in Cyl 1. I started by checking the throttle body as a means to fix the misfire and rough idle. I cleaned it, even though it was not very dirty. However, I did notice some oil (tiny amount, yellowish, and clean-looking) in the throttle body and the intake hoses that are attached. I drove for two days after performing the re-learn, and it was still a rough idle and misfiring. I moved the coil from cylinder 1 to cylinder 2, and the misfire remained with cylinder 1. Last night, I moved the spark plug from cylinder 1 to cylinder 4, leaving the coils where they were. There is still a misfire, but it is much milder and does not trigger the CEL, mostly occurring at 3rd gear or higher when I try to accelerate further.

I do have new parts coming, all Motorcraft:
- Throttle Body and gasket
- MAP Sensors (both front and rear)
- IAT Sensor
- PCV Valve and hose

Tonight, I used my friend's Innova 3160 Scanner, and it displayed the following live data while idling. Does anything stick out to anyone here? I am not even sure how to interpret some of these values.

I am seeking any guidance and/or recommendations on what I should look for or try. Some have mentioned replacing the throttle body, which I am. Others have mentioned drilling the weep hole in the intercooler, and others have mentioned installing a catch can. I am trying to get this thing running well, so the wife won't get mad that I bought an SUV with issues.

My 2017 was getting misfires at 78000 miles. The spark plug gaps were way off. I installed new plugs and then about 20000 miles later the misfires came back. Same issue as before. This time I went with ford racing spark plugs that I bought from a tuner that gaps them at .028 and 6 new coils. To this day at 145000 I have always have had a slight roughness at idle. I am just now been looking and learning at all the different values as well through ForScan. My short fuel trims are negative as well and are never close to zero values. I'm going to change all my o2 sensors. I installed a catch can put a new pvc and map sensors. I even removed the intercooler and cleaned it. I did the throttle body but that was due to it throwing codes. I had a complete timing job done around 130,000 due to Phaser issue.
