Lately the expy has nnot been feeling normal

In the morning the usual routine is to pull forward, back into the driveway and take off

when I go from drive to reverse, the rpm's go below 500, most recently it completely died on a reverse shift.

Any idea what it could be?

Could be many things but the first thing I might check would be the IAC. Try removing it and clean air passage/pintle. It can get gummed up due to oil circulating in the intake via the pcv system. Also check electrical connection for any signs of corrosion or damage. The ecu uses this to control idle speed.

if anyone ever looks at this again trying to search the same problem im having, I have it figured out. I was losing trans fluid through a transmission cooling line.

When shifting into reverse, the pressure levels are higher than when in drive, and since there was a loss of fluid, it causes the truck to stall when doing into reverse.

If your looking to get replacement lines, your best off going to a ford dealership, trust me, as much as I hate to deal with the parts guy who doesn't know differences between transmission models this was the only place I could find the line I needed, which is extremely long and only costed $35.
