I have a 2004 Expedition XLT. I always wanted a eddie bauer but I can't afford one. I am curioius if I can take thoes luxuires from a EB and install them into my XLT. Example, the climate control digital unit to replace the standard turn knobs. I know the dash trim would need to be replaced, but is everything else switchable between the digital and manual units? Another example, the turn signal mirrors, are the signal wires already in place so all I have to do is switch the mirrors? Thanks

The only reason you should try converting an XLT to an EB is if you are in love with your truck and don't want to sell it. It is going to be much more expensive to do the conversion then it would be to sell the XLT and buy the same year EB.

It will not be a plug and play type deal. Different plugs for different power options. IE you have min power being sent to that unit, with the EB you have a digital read out, the plugs should be different. I may be wrong, I tried this in the thunderbird and it failed, along with my explorer.

Older is easier. A lot of the EB features just get ignored on the XLT's. I don't know about the newer ones though...
