I am chasing a rough idle for sometime now and came across this open line. It has no suction whatsoever I would be grateful if some could help me identify this line. Thanks !!!!

Is your Expy a 4x4 ? Can you trace the line to it's other end ? Do you have two lines passing through the firewall grommet there for the HVAC ? I can't tell for sure from the lower picture. I can see the grommet but they're out of focus. One line is the supply line TO the HVAC control solenoid, the other line usually has a sheathing on it and come out TO the hot water valve. Another possibility is if the Expy is a 4x4 that line you see is the end of the axle vent line and should be left open.

The two lines going into the firewall are intact and fine so it has to be the axle vent line. Thanks !!!
