I have a 2004 Expedition that I bought new. It currently has 39K Miles on it. Always garaged. Very well maintained. It has the 3.73 limited slip differential.
Over the years, I have heard a rubbing/vibration noise whenever I am at a dead stop and I pull out onto the highway (either left or right). It has always been there but seems to be getting louder. If I drive the interstate at 70mph for about 10 minutes and then exit, I don't hardly hear the noise at all. But if the vehicles drivetrain is cold, you can hear/feel it really bad.
Not sure if it's coming from the rear or not, but I can feel it in the seat of my pants, as well as thru the steering wheel.
If you are going straight or if you are NOT on the accelerator during a turn from a dead stop, you don't hear/feel it at all. It's ONLY under acceleration from a stop/pull out and the vehicle drivetrain is cold and turning left or right.
Any ideas/suggestions?
