I have a 97 EB 4x4 and I have replaced all the U joints and the Dbl carden joint. IE vibration. It stoped and then it came back checked the transpher case and found that it was loose now I have the vibration at 65-70 it is worse on deexceleration. ??? bad shaft ......... Help it driving me NUTS.

That driveshaft was balanced at the factory with that double joint clocked in a certain position. If you didn't put it back 'in phase' (the way it was) then you could get a vibration. A bad driveshaft vibration can certainly loosen up the transfer case.

Depending on how bad you let the old u-joints get before you replaced them, the shaft itself could have been damaged and/or bent.

You could always take it back out and bring it to a driveshaft shop and have them check the balance. They usually don't charge much to do this for you.
