I know this has been covered before but when im driving around 55 or so and my truck shifts, it sounds like my truck is going over noise strips in the road. Also when I kinda give it some gas and it shifts it does it too. Is there a way to fix this or would a programmer with firmer shifts take care of this problem? I saw somewhere about how to possibly fix it but I dont remember where I saw it. Its driving me nuts

I had the same problem with mine recently. I changed the tranny fluid and filter, also drained the torque converter. Issue is now completely gone. Easy job, just a little time consuming.

Put the vehicle into nuetral with the engine turned off. Bottom side of the tranny you will see a rubber gromet/plug. Remove it. Put a ratchet/socket on the crankshaft pulley bolt. You'll need to spin the bolt so the crankshaft spins the torque converter. While turning the crankshaft, you can stick your finger into the hole where you removed the rubber gromet. Eventually you will see/feel a bolt/plug. Remove the bolt/plug and the torque converter will drain. Its much easier than it sounds. As far as which tranny fluid to use, I just grabbed the house brand (Oreilys).
