Oh, sorry. Didn't realize you had replied. No, this is for testing the actual MFS. Take it out, and connect a test light or a multimeter to the pins indicated in the above pictures. If using the multimeter, put it in resistance mode. Anything that is closed circuit should be 0 ohms (or something very small).
For example, in the first picture, if you want to test the rear wiper functionality, take the leads of the multimeter and touch them to pins 380 and 993. With the rear wiper switch in the off position, the multimeter should read 2900 ohms. With it in the first interval 1000 ohm, second interval 330 ohm, and wash (where you hold it to get washer fluid), it should read less then 5 ohm.
Granted, I don't see a pin specifically labeled 380 in the picture, so look for a pink/black striped wire in one of the two connectors. Whatever pin matches up with that wire should be 380.
Also, before going through the trouble of taking the MFS out and testing it, make sure the connector pins are clean. Pull on the wiring a little towards the steering wheel to give it some slack. That may end up solving your problem.
