Nah, after trying just about everything to avoid it, since I had some epic struggles with it in another car, I just detached the LCA (lower control arm) from the frame and everything went smooth and great....
Lesson learned: if you have impact tools and a spare jack, the otherwise torturous LCA drop is a breeze.... and if you got strut spacers and/or seized up ball joint connections, it's the only way to roll
PS if you've got one of em 19-20v lithium cordless impact drivers, the expy has plenty of space to get it in there and power em off behind the hub...even with only a deep impact socket kit
