I'm a little late but yesterday my wheels came in... Couple more weeks to wait on my 35s but here they are! Can't wait to get them mounted

Sorry I took a while to respond- I was out of town and wanted pics for you.
The rust was extensive. The radiator was sitting on the frame and because only one person drove or rode in it before me, the rockers dropped rust every time the doors were opened.
The radiator support was taken from an earlier model expedition at a junk yard. We drilled out the welds my frame, removed what wasn't rusted away and bolted it in the cleaned up and slightly fabricated junk yard piece using the drilled out welds. We then covered it in primer and underbody coating. It's difficult to get a good picture with it in.
We went the opposite direction with the rockers. Aftermarket generic sheet metal rockers that were long enough to cover the entire length were used after the rusted areas were cut out. With the doors closed everything looks good. Opened you can see where we primered and coated (but not too bad) and then underneath there was hardly anything left to weld to, but it looks pretty clean. The "We" was mostly my father welding so I couldn't help you on the type. I know it was spot to spot with a torch. Then we ground it down smooth, primered and coated.

Haha soon gotta fix this knocking noise first and get the ex back on the road then tires in a few more weeks.... If everything goes well... She'll be looking right!

Just replaced the oil adapter seal.
Just filled it with gas. It needs a carwash that I know. Anyways on my way to bail my coworker out of jail for a DUI since I'm apparently the only number he memorizes from calling me so often that he's running late.

New upper control arms, new lower ball joints, new KYB monomax shocks for the front, front end alignment and balance and rotate.
Shocks I just took off are original motorcraft....I pushed it up half way and it got stuck, pushed it all the way up and it doesn't move....wow.

He's a really good kid, very hard worker with a big heart and has to carry his whole family on his shoulder since his father who passed away last year. His work ethics to me makes up for most of his tardiness.

They were a piece of a cake to swap and they are beefier than the stock ones. Just got done installing a pair of KYB Monomax shocks and this thing is really nice up front now.

yeah its just a redesigned part. Now there is an oversize version of some of the parts in case you have wear, but the ball joints are the gusher design.

Still trying to figure out what the motor issue is... Lifters, phasers, chain, tensioners, VCT solenoids, oil issue.... Lot of crap in these 5.4 3V [emoji58]
