Looking at new tires to put on my Expy and not sure how big I can go without rubbing without a lift. I have 265/70/17 right now and looking to go to a 285/70/17. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks in advance for your help.

Here's a pic of mine with 285-75-16 (33-12.5-16) at stock height with no running boards, very little rub even off road at full flex

Thanks, you too!!
I would love to go bigger, but as we all know, that opens a whole can of worms as far as gearing goes. I tow a toy hauler and the gearing even on these tires is not great. So like a grand for gearing, a grand for 2" spacers, torsion twist, alignment, and BL to fit 35s" Seems a lot for 1" extra ground clearance. Plus, I've already come close to tipping this thing over on the trail and the higher COG would not be beneficial!!

damn hardcharger! you almost tipped it? yeah, maybe you shouldnt go higher! hahhaha. looks good as she sits. maybe throw some 4.10's in there to help with the towing.

Yeah, but both pucker moments were at trail speed, which for me is very slow. It's not like I'm going to high side my truck.;)

ive gotten close. just climbing a hill at anderson. see i go there a lot. but i went around a huge rut and when i almost got to the top my rear end slid out from under me. i was like SH*T! i had to back down to where my left rear was almost off the edge air down to 15 and continue the climb. i barley made it. and all this was at night. i had to change my pants when i get home. but luckly i had a spotter too. so he helped. but other then that i have been able to rock my truck. but i was only off the ground like 4 inches.

Not bad approach angles really, just being on 2 opposite diagonal tires with the other 2 in the air. should have seen the look on my brother's face!!
