I recently purchased a 2019 Expedition Platinum and I'm trying to figure out how to cleanly run power for a mag charger vent clip. My wish would be to add a hidden 12v outlet to that little pocket/indentation in the dash. Has anyone seen that kind of mod?

What do you all do with that spot on the dash?

My setup is similar to GixxerJansen's. i needed a 12v outlet for my Garmin. Purchased a 12v extension cord on Amazon and cut off the plug. The socket hides under the BuiltRight bracket, the cord runs through a 1/4" hole in the side of the pocket to the fuse panel.

i thought about fishing a usb cable from the center phone area in my 20; but on my 12 i got a fuse block tap tree and ran a wired up thru the a pillar and across the head liner to power a dash cam. not super hard but tedious to find a good slot that was acc powered and not used and poke wires behind panels.

a crazy thought i had recently was to just put a rechargeable battery pack with a solar panel on it up there and run a cable that way to supply above-the-dash power
