What type of Transfer Case Fluid for 2012 Expedition?

I have a 2012 Ford Expedition EL Limited 4X4

I'm looking to change it the transfer case fluid, but see varying recommendations on whattype

Any thoughts on Valvoline and/or/versus Mercon LV?

XL-12 is the stuff that’s supposed to go in (originally at least). But Ford updated the spec to Mercon LV.

So either one is fine.
