99Expy - Thanks yea she is definetly a money pit but well worth it.

Walnuts - thanks, nah the tires dont rub at all. i have 2in. wheels spacers in the rear and 1.5s in the front. The flares and steps are all one piece and they came from the factory along with a front lower valence that i broke i half so i took it off.

that sux ross, i hate being without my rig.

mud, how does that 4.6 hold up turning those meats? you upgrade your gears yet? i also have a question for you and walnuts, are either of you running upgraded axles or steering components at all, i.e. chromoly axleshafts or upgraded cv joints? i plan on doin the same setup as the both of you, well with my 4" rancho instead of fabtech (seems like a waste of money for 2 extra inches!) but i dont really want to replace a bunch of stuff every year...

The only problem that the tires create is braking. I have to give myself plenty of distance to stop. I have gotten out of quite a few running red light tickets because of them. I have not upgaded my gears yet and that is why my expy is parked for the time being. The tires either broke the ring or stripped of a lot of teeth. I am not running any upgraded components but i do want to get a dual steering stabilizer setup once i get my rear end fixed and upgraded gears.

i got it done today...well the front is done...the rear had to be delivered from Virginia Beach...only store in arear that had the rear...i tighted all the screw pretty good...i know they need to be torque...but didnt know how much torque...so i'll be back in the shop on tuesday to torque them down and finish the rear with sway bar link upgrade...i can defenitely fell the difference in the front from before and compared to the rear...took a couple of turns with my son on purpose...he said he normally would've been on the door as i turned so he likes the upgrade...the rear feels like its fish tailing compared to the front

so far, i have drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads as well with my 4" rancho lift and nitto 35" but when i do the body lift and TT, i am going to try and "stuff" some 38's in there as well but i need to regear and whatnot too. i want to upgrade CV joints as well cuz from what i hear, those tires are gonna wreak havoc on the cv and ball joint!

Well so far my cv joints are doing just fine but yes ball joints are a whole other story. i have upgraded and replaced upper and lower ball joints and both sides. they had over three inches of play in them and my mechanic didnt know how they where still holding up.

He just said they needed to be replaced. the stock ones are the one that were bad. i dont know what the new ones where but they where visibly better and had an oil zerk on the top in stead of using a needle to put it directly into the rubber.
