It took me 2 cans. I did about 3 coats and then went over it with about 3 coats of clear. For prepping I just washed them and used oil and grease remover. I used index cards instead of trying to mask off the tire. Worked way better and saved so much time. If you wanna see what I'm talking about look it up on YouTube.
