while coasting drops to neutral

I just want to know, it isnt natural for my e4od to instantly drop to neutral when I let off the gas is it? what goes out in the trans that causes it to do this? any help is welcome!

Broken parts internally. IF all forward gears function properly I would look into the one way clutches. Try to find an application chart and it will lead you as to where to look once the trans is apart based on what gears function

Well thanks for the words of help, all forward gears are just fine, so I will just start saving for a monster e4od to replace this one in spring!
