Will it fit? Oem Exhaust System

Hello all. Newbie here and enjoying the site thus far. I am hoping 1 of you knowledgeable gurus can help me out. When i bought the truck ('97, 5.4, 4x4) it came with a blown cat on the passenger side. I took care of the issue that was the source for the blow out. I came across a 2000 5.4 4x4 expy that was in an accident and the owner is going to part out as oppose to fixing it (body damage). He is willing to sell me the the passenger side cats / whole exhaust all the way to the tailpipe. Will this fit my '97? Should i try and get the driver's side as well? Any negatives to doing this? Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

go to rock auto wbsite and check the cross reference for years and that should tell you if it will work or not

Yeah i went ahead and checked and they read same part numbers so i think it will be doable. I am going to look into getting the system and see how it goes. Thanks and I will look into posting my results once done. Maybe it'll help someone else.

yeah it'll fit. i dont see why not. and if its a performance exhaust even better!
