Won't come out of park

Having troble getting my 2003 expedtion out of park. If I play with the steering it finally comes out. Any ideas?

After looking on line I think my problem is the neutral safety switch. Has anybody replaced theirs? And how hard is it to replace?

Have not replaced myself but believe it is located under the driverside of the tranny and relatively easy to get to.

You may try setting your parking brake before putting it into park to keep tension of the parking pawl.
