Yukon gets a Max Expy

Hello all,
Yukon Joe here. I've been post whoreing around the Gen 4 forum. Finally picked up an 18, FX4 Expedition Max with heavy duty tow. It's the only one like it in the world that is pearly white, maybe

I'm coming from Two Raptors, we traded one in to get the Expy. I've spent years on ther ford raptor forum, now I'm looking forward tp some time on here learning about the new truck and posting up mods. I'm new to the EcoBoost engine, but it's been around a while now, so there's got to be some good info out there about it.

Living on the NC coast for the past five years, but originally from Pittsburgh.

I love the look of the wheels and the blacked out roof rack. The fixed running boards aren't bad, but they have too much chrome. I'm thinking about getting them linexed.

Pending mods:
Halogen bulb replacement for LEDs
Front license holder and air dam removal
Black satin hood wrap
Blacked out grill
Linexed step boards
Auxiliary front lighting (somewhere)
Overhead aux panel switches
Performance mods

Trying to think of a name for the new Expy.

Wife didn't like my idea of the "dirty clam"
She suggested "muddy pearl"

Kids like "white knight".


I must say, I'd never purposely pay for a color on a vehicle, but this matched everything we wanted. And I guess it takes Ford three coats of paint to get rid of the orange peel look. I do like the depth of this color.

GM guy just bought a Ford Expedition......

Started with a 1987 Pontiac Safari wagon that lasted 300,000 miles until I donated it, then I moved onto a 1988 Chevu suburban that I drove to just over 380,000 miles on it (replaced the trans at 250k....and the original starter at 320k) donated that too, then had my 2001 suburban that lasted to 195,000 miles before the trans lost park and reverse. .

This is my first Ford....I hope it last me at least as long as my last suburban. I would've loved a new suburban but I guess I have Chevy taste with a Ford budget......

Mine is a 2017 Expedition EL Limited. It's a pretty truck and does nice, but after 2 weeks of ownership I have a weird leak. I noticed after getting in last night water was leaking in between 2 interior panels near the passenger rear 2nd row seat belt. Upon close inspection I felt that the headliner above, the floor below, and the entire seat belt were wet. The pics are after I dried the plastic. The 2nd riw set foot that sits closest to this has rust on it, so it's now a new leak. Hopefully the dealer can resolve the issue........any other leaky new expeditions here?

I heard a water trickle and happened to look back and saw a light stream of water coming from where the 2 panels in the first pic come together. I keep the seat closest to the passenger rear door up so my kids can get in easier. It had rained off and on for 2 days and that was the first time I'd been in my truck since it had rained. The top panel overlaps the bottom one.
