While working on a motor swap I found the rear intake water passages to be lined with a peanut butter like residue. The motor has been sitting for years and thinking/hoping the coolant sits towards the back while not running? It was a bit dark when draining the fluids but didn't notice anything suspicious at the time and the front passages look clean.
The much higher mileage motor I pulled does not have this residue.
I'm a newb and wondering if anyone can help me on this?
