    2007 Eddie Bauer suspension rebuild

Hey postwick, my local garage I use for AC and Alinement work just called me and asked how much I love my truck.... Tech says it's too wore out to align - not worth fixing with 193k. BS! I'm looking at RockA. and now I'll check your links. I think the best thing is to replace what's worn, I'm...

Rotors and pads / factory or something else

Did the wife's with the PowerStop 1 click slotted kit. $275 for everything was a few bucks cheaper than name brand (non-china) rotors and Wagner pads. Love em. No pulse, no squeal, stops even with the trailer on there with no problems.

    Busted Compressor

I did mine (07), the clutch separated from the rubber isolator. Advance had a 3yr pump/clutch for $175. I took it to a local AC shop, they evacuated the system, I drove it home and changed out the compressor (lying on the floor under the passenger footwell). drove it back to the shop and they...

    suspension replacment

if it's not sagging and you're not looking for a radically different ride I would not replace the springs. Any new shocks/struts will feel stiffer than 100k anythings but the bilstens are nice units, I've been feeling letdown by monroe as of late.

    Spark Plug Removal Issue

Wadesdad - I had to do the same thing on a dodge 5.9 wish I'd read your post a year ago ;) I cut up a decent 5/8 socket to act like a cutter for getting the grunge out - your copper pipe setup would've been alot quicker

    Liftgate window problem

Ashley, I don't want to pay my local dealer $89 (diagnostic fee) for them to tell me I need to spend another $400 plus labor on that control module - as it is I have to re-set the module every 2-3 months in order for the gate to stop opening itself at random. It stinks to have such a heavily...

    Set screw on caliper?

The caliper bracket bolts should be 18mm, they're torqued pretty tight - a long breaker bar and a good hard hit with the palm of your hand should break them loose.

    Liftgate window problem

Papa bull, please post what they tell you or you find out, my 08 does the same thing - it'll go so far as to actually have the whole darn hatch open itself! I'll walk out and theres the hatch up. We'll get in to go somewhere and that stupid message center is telling me the rear window/hatch is...

    growley brake pedal abs pump

UPDATE: it was the rear wheel bearing gone bad, threw the sensor off - lit the ABS light and the ABS valve was dumping pressure to the rear drivers brake thinking that wheel was locked up. New bearing unit is on order -

    Installing trailer brake controller

On my 07 it's got the tow package but didn't come with an in-dash controller, after looking around for a nice place to mount it I realized that since I only use it once or twice a year I'd just plug in the pigtail harness and let it set in the little tray ahead of the shifter on the consol...

    growley brake pedal abs pump

nope, it keeps pulsing & growling - sometimes the light is on and sometimes it's off. I was hoping it'd stay lit long enough to read a code.

    growley brake pedal abs pump

Ok, 116k miles, new brakes (6k miles ago) and now the ABS light comes on, the pedal growls & vibrates and it doesn't want to stop like it used to. It sounds like the pads are gone so I pulled the wheels and the rotors are clean and smooth and the pad friction material looks brand new (inboard...

07 expedition Electronic Stability Control light on

what did you figure out? I've got an ABS light, growling pedal and the TSC skidding car lighting up - did you have to replace the module? Did foam in the dash help? Was it a front wheel bearing/sensor?

    P0304 code remedy?

I'd yank the rest of those champions out - just had the same issue with my 07 but it was a 0300 random misfire code - those "one piece design" champions were toast, less thank 10k on em too!

P0300 intermittent miss code - solved

I'm fairly certain they were the right heat range - as mentioned, they're not typical plugs and specialty ranges for turbo/supercharged/NOS applications aren't readily available. Bosch Platinums did the same thing in my old Shelby Charger (it was NA as well). I think some manufacturer's...
