Have weathertech for the front, 2nd and 3rd rows and a husky "behind second row" cargo mat that goes over the 3rd row when it's folded. Weathertech didn't make one as far as I could tell. Very happy with both.

Did the new Expedition's first oil change @ 1,000 miles. New FL-820S and Mobil1. Also did a wash & dry since it's not supposed to rain here for another week.
Had the "help" of my 6 year old for both projects, which was an experience in itself. Awesome day.
Thanks Guys, just did this to my '14 EL Limited this morning. Mine was installed at the factory and was taped in a bundle, basically behind the panel where the power pedals switch is. Had to remove both the panels in order to access.
Just traded my wife's 09 suburban in to get back to an expedition. Prior to 60k miles we had to do new door handles, new seat heaters, a new steering rack, and finally the engine rebuilt due to oil burning (I assume related to the displacement on demand system they have). Fortunately my dealer...
Wow - thanks for the replies. I was just starting to get concerned by a few little issues I've been having pop up (bubbling on rear door - now fixed by a repaint, lousy window motors and squeaks, weird transmission sound when I need to brake suddenly...) and figuring it might be time to get a...
Hi all. I love my expy, and love this forum. Thought I would post a question here and get some input, if anyone is so inclined.
I have a 2008 Expedition Limited, all black and loaded up with everything except the HD towing and air-ride suspension. I love the truck, and would probably get...
I guess what concerned me (and I still haven't heard this noise, mind you) was that it got higher pitched with car speed, not engine speed. I immediately thought of wheel bearings, but she said it didn't get louder with turning... I appreciate your response.
Thanks for your response,
No shake, yes only when it's cold. Actually, my wife just called back and said it stopped after about 10 minutes of running. It was a cold night here, but it was parked in the garage - figure 40 degrees or so in the garage.
Hi all, hope someone can chime in with some experience. My wife (who is the primary driver of our Expy) just called and told me that there is a new sound coming from the car (never a good phone call to get).
It is a high-pitched whine (similar in tone to a fire engine siren based on her...
My '08 chimes once, then begins its descent, while chimes continue. I would not call it fast.
The power hatch on my '11 Lincoln MKX is much faster, and also begins its descent after one chime. On that one, I do feel the need to duck out of the way.
Contact your dealer. They'll re-paint no problem since you're under warranty. May as well wait until your back hatch also starts, and get them both done, but do it before 36k miles.
I was in the same boat exactly 2 years ago. Here's how I made my decision:
1) interior usable space - expedition wins over Tahoe / Yukon hands down. The fold flat 3rd row is a huge step up from the GM standard length SUVs this regard (theirs flip forward, and are able to be removed. power...
I have an '08 Limited, and I thought they were really good looking when I first got it - and they have grown on me since. The all-black (black grille, smoked headlights) looks good.
My '08 liftgate was repainted at 34,000 miles, due to bubbling.
I think the story is this:
3 yr 36,000 mile warranty bumper to bumper covers paint issues.
corrosion warranty only covers perforation (holes in the metal) up to 100k miles.
My '08 Limited (built in 9/08) had its rear hatch re-painted last spring - at 35,000 miles. It had bubbling all around the license plate on the rear door. I have not had any problems with the hood, other than a few rock chips at the front edge I am watching intently. No problems with the roof...
My '08 has 42,xxx miles and I've had 2 problems - (1) paint bubbling on the rear hatch (repainted under warranty at 35k miles) and (2) driver's side window is getting slow. I plan to tear it apart and take a look in the spring. I understand that some lubricant goes a long way toward fixing...
Yeah, my lie-o-meter on the dash says 12.1. I reset it when we got the new tires.
I actually like the ATRs, despite the mileage. They are bigger and "beefier" yet still quiet on the road.
Check out the Husky brand mats too - I have one in the rear of mine (almost never use the 3rd row - so it covers the area from behind the second row all the way to the tailgate). I also have the rubber Husky mat for the second row. I have a 4 yr old and a 1.5 yr old and the rubber mats are...
I'll jump in here and resurrect the topic... We have an '08 Limited with 42,xxx miles and the 20" wheels. I just put a new set of Pirelli Scorpion ATRs on it (came stock with STRs). With the old STRs I was hitting 20 - 21 on the highway a lot. With the ATRs, I lost about 2 mpg.
It also...
I like the Cooper discoverers too - but most recently went to the Pirelli Scorpion ATR for my 20's. I like the look, they seem to do well on the highway, and I only lost about 1highway mpg going from the stockers to these.
Here's another data point: '08 limited, supposedly 28 gal tank. Mine said "3 miles left" and the needle was buried in "E" yesterday, only filled up with 24.98 gal.
I apologize for bringing this back from the dead - but I'm new to the forum, so it's new to me, and maybe some other newbies around here. Anyway - I too have an '08 limited and I've been carefully paying attention to my gauge and fill-up gallons. I've run it down to 10 a couple times and have...
I just got a used '08 expedition limited. We needed to get out of a Hummer H3 and into something more family friendly. After shopping around for a couple months, here's my experience:
The new style started in '07, so I was looking for '07+. I wanted the DVD player for the kid(s), leather...
