Ill post pictures later wife has my truck at work. As far as the head unit moving around, its in there snug and doesnt have room to move at all...when I was filinhg the dash down Id stop periodically and try it to see how much more had to file, so its a very snug fit. Hey thanks actually installled it last night. I encountered the same metal bracket you did, but mine was made of hardened plastic. Factory NAV Setup in older expy
Hello friend...an aftermarket navigation will fit in your factory location. These is a metal bar in the dash behind the factory head unit that you can remove and any and all head units will fit, Im in the middle of installing Pioneer AVH 4200 DVD as we speak...I however do not know about...- ConwayLaFamilia

yea and funny thing as karma would have it, the factory sub just stopped playing this morning on my way to work lol...I agree with him firemann an aftermarket amp gives a much cleaner signal to the sub and lets it pound much harder with much deeper bass...My plan is to install my Pioneer AVIC 7"...- ConwayLaFamilia

Damn good info...thanks Racenut...Im gonna look 4 that 10" JL Box before I go any further...as for head unit Im looking at Pioneer in dash Navigation units at the moment, I know theres some minor trimming to get the unit to fit flush. my concern is the area where the sub is mounted. Most subwoofers require a sealed enclosure to perform well in limited space. So the question I have is is the area where the factory sub is mounted sealed? As for worrying about a new sub fitting, Im gonna measure the area with a tape measure...- ConwayLaFamilia

well I can tell you that your Memphis sounded like crap because Memphis is crap. Im bing to ld just about any 8" sub will fit..personally JL Audio and Kicker Comp VR come to mind if youre looking for deep bass and keep the enclosure...Im about to start the same upgrade that youre mentioning...- ConwayLaFamilia

I like the Vatiivas alot...what do you guys think of the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar? Ratings everywhere are high, are they as good as the Vatiivas. thanks Bremsen, he was 3 months early and I almost lost him and his mother, so you can imagine how careful I wanna be here... Youre right LATCH came out in 2003...anyone know if 2003+ seats will fit into my '99? Id really like to use the seatbelt and the LATCH system...thanks again- ConwayLaFamilia
