    Most of us in MN are wiped out from the big Vikings loss with the chance to play at home for the Super Bowl so it shouldn't be an issue. The truck is running great and could probably be fixed for good by someone with time on their hands and knowledge of this engine.

    I don't recall checking the oil pressure when it was happening but oil capacity has been fine. I will keep a close eye on it or maybe even have the mechanic just check the timing chain, guides and replace it all. I'd rather spend 1k then 6k or whatever an engine would be.

    Thanks for your reply JExpedition! I have driven Toyota's and Hondas for the last 15 years so getting up to speed on this engine type with timing chain. Who knows how long it will take for the code and noise to happen again. Do you think a mechanic can just take it apart and see what would need...

    Boots/Motorcraft Plugs will be changed real quick like. Do you think that job is as easy as it was for my honda accords/toyota corolla's in the past was or should I find a mechanic that may need to further troubleshoot if this doesn't resolve anyway?

    Thanks for the replies everyone. Yes, this is the V8. Truck was purchased As Is but it is a reputable dealer, from what I understand. I will contact them to get the exact code. I will also change all spark plugs and give it a test drive first, while checking the plugs to the coils.

With and without pulling my boat the thing jumps and pulls hard up hills and looks like it could be coil problem. I took it back to dealer...
