08 expedition turn signal

I have a 08 ford expedition. My left blinker is coming on by itself. I put a new multi function switch in which works the wipers, turn signals and the bright lights. This didn't help. I was told it is the turn signal switch relay that is somewhere on the truck. I can't find it. Any help?

Well....your model doesn't have the old style of signal flasher. Welcome to the world of razzle dazzle electronic nonsense. The flashing is now controlled by electronics in the smart junction box.

Can you read and understand wiring diagrams plus trace wires?

Honestly I don't understand wiring diagrams. I figured it didn't have a relay switch like older cars. I'm thinking there is a short some where.

I will assume you don't have a meter from your reply. Your choices are to learn basic electrical so that you can troubleshoot it yourself, take it to a shop or live with it.

DC electric isn't that difficult if you are willing to learn.
