1. Bought this gal in 2011 with 85,000 miles on it. It was a repo.
2. MPG, calculated by hand, corresponded to the computer 285 miles divided by 13.5 gallons. 21 MPG. Of course, I drive 65 to 70 on cruise control for this MPG. This was from Durango CO, to Santa Fe then back to the gas station on exit 264 south of Santa Fe this Sunday. 86 Octane.
3. I have always used Mobil 1 Synthetic oil for changes at 7,000miles.
4. I have always maintained my vehicle as per Ford's maintenance guidlines.
5. List of repairs:
A. New Strut in 2014. About $450.
B. New Blower for AC in front compartment in 2015. $400.
C. New Water-pump this June. Was leaking and mechanic recommended it be replaced. $650.
Total repairs: $1500.
In the pictures you can see the coating over the paint is peeling. The Driver seat has cracked. There is a chip on the plastic of the door handle (no big deal).
Also, the Navigation disk reads "error" and asks for a new disk to be put in. The old disk won't eject so I have no navigation via the disk. In this era of Smart phones I decided not to both with an entire new unit (about $1000) as the radio works well. The Nav unit malfunctioned in 2015.
The truck still drives like a dream. It accelerates well-no noticeable loss of power since I purchased it.
It is still very comfortable to drive. The heater and AC work well. No electrical problems. Gas milage is very respectible for a V8 engine with 200,000 miles.
I bought this truck as I needed at vehicle a bit smaller than my 2002 Excursion and I had been happy with my 2000 Ford Expedition that the ex-wife got in a divorce.
