I'm guessing a hotter spark? I know the old GM ignition systems were higher voltage than Ford.

Accel make a high performance coil. They are almost same price as standard coil, at Advance Auto. I doubt a hotter spark, would make a difference on the Triton V8. It is not a high performance motor and not high compression/high rev. It is a low RPM, work horse. Putting a GM part on a Ford is sacrilege, don't do it.
