Will f150 long tube headers fit on a 2001 expy 5.4 4x4. Just curious I plan on redoing the exhaust on it sooner or later. Could not find any long tube for expy.

Jba headers are the only good ones. It’s shorty only sorry. Long tubes will not fit.

My I say why the header question? The stock manafold flows extreamly well. The headers do not make much difference. Look at dyno results posted by the mfg. they look pretty though. Make sure get ceramic coated if you get them.

My plan is to end up doing a full custom exhaust. And I agree that shorty heads would not do much at all. I really only want long tubes. What has to be done to them to make f150 headers work. Ceramic coated would be great. But if I am going to have to bend them some they will probably be stainless.

A good base would start off
H8473 Then can tweak off that
But gives ground work at least.

One area says yes other most others say no

Long tube are only way to go unless you have a high RPM car. Long tubes built for torque

Check out the "thunder" thread. On page 4 it features a custom exhaust with long tube headers

I have a set of Long Tube SS headers from Dynatech (PN 722-84210) connected to a Dynatech SS Y-pipe with High Flow Cats (PN 722-84320). The output from the Cats is connected to a Gibson SS Single In / Single Out Catback exhaust. The entire system is 3" in diameter. Sounds great and flows very well.
