I have a 2005 Expedition King Ranch with 180,000 miles on it. It had two stripped and broken plugs and local dealership said it couldn't be repaired. Head, valves and cylinder damage on number 8.
I bought a 5.4L out of a wrecked 2008 F150 that has 88,000 on it. This engine was put in a Foose edition but I didn't spring for the turbos and intake. I'm putting my 05 intake on it.
My question is what maintenance, if any, should I do on the engine I'm putting in before install?
Also any tips on pulling and reinstalling the engines is appreciated.
