Back when I was younger and more invincible, I rode 12,000 miles in 30 days on a KZ650. Went around the US and up to the Alcan Highway. On a stock seat - talk about iron butt...
Would like to do it again but on a slower pace.

ha!......yea,seat has alot to do with ride. i had changed mine earlier this year. while doing so i shimmed between seat and base(steel part) so i could get more of a tilt on bottom part of seat....shimmed front like 1/4 inch or more then rear. made huge difference for cruising far.tilts better like a recliner. below is my south of the boarder pic....u could barly see "pedro" in back ground.....truck road great....167000 now.

That brought back some memories. I was on vacation with the parents when I-95 was being built back in the 60's. Probably 8 or 9 years old, they sold me a box of the real M80's at that time - no parents in sight. The good ol' days. Blew a bunch of stuff up and started a bunch of fires in the process.
