Hey everybody! It's been a couple years since I've been online here. Last time I was asking about different mods for my dads Expedition. As of now it has a full stereo system, rain guards, purple HID headlights, Purple underglow, blacked out tail lights, 20" wheels, a billet grill, and a flowmaster exhaust system.

Just for your info it's a 2005 Expedition XLT Sport 2wd.

Next we want to do a LED light conversion to his reverse lights, dome lights, license plate lights, mirror lights, etc. Also want to tint the front side windows, and lastly, the one mod I'm not sure how to do the right way... Lower it..

So you've heard the story and what we want to do to it. My question to you guys with 03-06 Expeditions, we want to lower it 2" in the front and 3" in the back. What is the best way to achieve this? I've heard cutting springs won't hurt anything as long as they're cut the same amount on either side of the truck. I'm not worried about a rough ride being that he's planning on a rougher ride with lowering springs. Only problem is that I don't see any lowering springs that will lower the truck that much. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone have pics of theirs lowered this much? Anyone wanna have a hissy fit over whether or not cutting springs is a waste of time? Haha I'm open to all suggestions.

Thanks in advance

First the glare on your lights are blinding, second seeing that they are purple makes it even worse. Third if you know anything about spring rates then you would know not to cut your springs. Their is no argument, its common sense. Can buy a kit to achieve that drop for about $200

Can you provide a link to the kit? Also, the lights really aren't as bright to on coming cars as you'd think. I drive past him all the time and they're no brighter than his factory ones. The camera makes it look 100x worse than it really is. However, the HID's in the Camaro are enough to put someone in a ditch lol. That's why I only run my fog lights when there's on coming traffic.

I would also agree. I would buy springs made to be at that height, cutting the stock springs will compromise their integrity. I guess Solisimo doesnt like your lights haha.

To each's own lol. Just so you know the farther away from the color of the sun that you get on the kelvin scale (3k) the worse your visibility is gonna get. Let me find you some springs

Nope hids belong in projector housings not halogen ones. Hence the scattered light pattern causing glare.

Yeah I know the visibility isn't as good as 4000k or 5000k. Mine are 6000k. They're way bright in my housings. I also know that HIDs are only supposed to be in projector beam housings. The housings just weren't in the budget at the time. It's on the to do list. Lol dads lights are 12000k
